About PeopleOps
Experienced People Leadership. Direct Access.
PeopleOps was built to give growing businesses practical access to senior-level HR guidance without the overhead, complexity or bureaucracy that usually comes with it.
Why PeopleOps exists
The gap between a first hire and a first HR executive.
Growing companies hit People problems long before they can justify a full-time HR executive. Hiring spreads across states, managers get promoted without training, pay decisions pile up, and someone raises a complaint that nobody is prepared to handle.
The usual alternatives leave leaders exposed. Pushing it onto an office manager puts real risk on someone with no HR background. Buying software gives you a system with no judgment behind it. Calling a lawyer works, but usually after something has already gone wrong. PeopleOps exists to fill that gap — senior People judgment, available before the problem becomes a dispute.

Stacee Budzik
Founder, PeopleOps
Stacee Budzik founded PeopleOps to do the work she kept being pulled into: sitting with an owner or executive team, looking at what is actually happening with their people, and building the practical answer.
She works directly with leadership. There is no account team, no handoff after the proposal, and no deck that ends where the hard part begins. The same person who assesses the situation builds the system and trains the managers who have to run it.
The bias is toward what a company will use. A 30-person business does not need an enterprise HR program; it needs clear expectations, documentation that holds up, and managers who know what to do on a Tuesday when something goes wrong.

How PeopleOps works with businesses
Practical over bureaucratic
The work is judged by whether the company uses it after the engagement ends. Process that nobody follows is worse than no process, because it creates a record of exceptions.
Right-sized for your stage
A 30-person company should not run a 3,000-person HR program. What gets built matches your headcount, your states and the way your team already works.
Direct partnership
You work with Stacee, not a rotating account team. The person in the first conversation is the person doing the work.
Built to hand off
Systems are designed so your managers can run them without a consultant in the room. Documentation, templates and training come with the build.
Who PeopleOps works with
- Startups putting their first People systems in place.
- Small businesses where HR has been handled between other jobs.
- Founder-led companies growing faster than their HR infrastructure.
- Fast-growing teams hiring managers ahead of manager training.
- Multi-state employers whose policies were written for one state.
- Leadership teams with no senior internal HR to call.
How We Work
A clear process, start to finish.
Understand
Start by understanding the business, the team, the challenges and the priorities. That means talking with leadership and looking at how People work actually happens today.
Prioritize
Identify the highest-impact People issues and build a practical plan. The plan is sequenced by risk and value, not by what is easiest to check off.
Implement
Work directly with leadership to put the right systems, processes and practices in place. Managers get the training and support to keep them running.
Let's Build the People Side of Your Business to Scale.
Whether you're dealing with an immediate workforce challenge or building the HR infrastructure for your next stage of growth, PeopleOps can help.
